Pointe / Pre - Pointe Camp

Class / Camp Description

This class is a beginner introduction to pointework and a great strength workshop for beg/int. It is also for those pre-pointe dancers that will begin pointe within one year and want to strengthen their legs by doing exercises on releve' (half way up), but not on their toes. Each day, dancers will have ballet class and a beginning pointe in the traditions of the French and the Russian Vaganova School. Dancers will also learn choreography the Nutcracker Ballet to prepare for auditions. Included in the camp, you will learn to sew and take care of your pointe shoes. Please bring a needle, thread, and scissors or a sewing kit. We will also learn how to make a proper and firm bun for performance and class.

Cancellation Policy

75% refund is given if a student withdraws within 24 hours prior to a second class during the Spring and Fall Semester. No refunds will be given after the second class except in the case of a physician-verified illness. No refunds are given for COVID closure. In the event of COVID closure we offer excellent online class or camp. No refunds for Summer camps / classes unless requested three weeks prior to the camp / class start date. At that time a 75% refund will be granted. There is no pro-rating and no makeup classes. Tuition is not transferable to another session. Students cannot attend class until full payment is made. There is a $30 fee for cancelled checks. CBT reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions or teacher illness. In the event of a weather condition, you will receive an email. Please check your email. There are no makeup classes for inclement weather conditions.
