Beginning Pointe Workshop
Time: 4:15pm to 5:30pm
Class / Camp Description
Upper Level 3 classes will begin pointe for the first time! The workshop begins with a lesson in how to sear and how to sew pointe shoes on the first day so students can independently care for their shoes. Following the sewing, students will take ballet class and start on pointe! Each lesson thereafter will be ballet and pointe work. Most beginners do anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes on pointe each lesson, slowly building proper placement and strength. Dancers have the option to book a private session with Cami at either of our pointe shoes stores in Memphis are. Fittings for the first pointe shoes, are a time consuming but exciting event. Moms will want to take photos so wear your ballet outfit, and have a neat ponytail or bun!

Cancellation Policy
75% refund is given if a student withdraws within 24 hours prior to a second class during the Spring and Fall Semester. No refunds will be given after the second class except in the case of a physician-verified illness. No refunds are given for COVID closure. In the event of COVID closure we offer excellent online class or camp. No refunds for Summer camps / classes unless requested three weeks prior to the camp / class start date. At that time a 75% refund will be granted. There is no pro-rating and no makeup classes. Tuition is not transferable to another session. Students cannot attend class until full payment is made. There is a $30 fee for cancelled checks. CBT reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions or teacher illness. In the event of a weather condition, you will receive an email. Please check your email. There are no makeup classes for inclement weather conditions.
