Children’s Ballet Theater is a ballet & jazz Dance workshop intensive for dedicated teens in Memphis, Germantown, Cordova, Collierville and beyond! Children’s Ballet Theater welcomes all area teen ballet dancers with intermediate/advanced technique, to ignite their passion and celebrate the glamour of dance to Gershwin this summer with our amazing and professional faculty! Step into the Paris, France this summer with an immersive ballet intensive that captures the "Jazz Age" elegance of George Gershwin’s masterpiece, An American in Paris. This intensive program challenges intermediate to advanced teens to bridge the gap between rigorous classical ballet technique and the syncopated, "rhapsodic" energy of Gershwin’s score. Throughout the week, dancers will dive into character-driven choreography exploring the "jazzy verve" of 1920s Paris through specialized repertoire and musicality workshops. Included in this workshop will be daily ballet technique and coaching in preparation for auditions from “Clara & the Nutcracker” such as the Sugar Plum Fairy Dance and Clara dances. All choreography and coaching taught during the workshop will be featured in a final studio performance for family and friends, showcasing the participants' hard work. Attire: black leotard and short black skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a high tight bun. Boys wear a white tshirt, and black leggings, black ballet shoes. Cancellation Policy
75% refund is given if a student withdraws within 24 hours prior to a second class during the Spring and Fall Semester. No refunds will be given after the second class except in the case of a physician-verified illness. No refunds are given for COVID closure. In the event of COVID closure we offer excellent online class or camp. No refunds for Summer camps / classes unless requested three weeks prior to the camp / class start date. At that time a 75% refund will be granted. There is no pro-rating and no makeup classes. Tuition is not transferable to another session. Students cannot attend class until full payment is made. There is a $30 fee for cancelled checks. CBT reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions or teacher illness. In the event of a weather condition, you will receive an email. Please check your email. There are no makeup classes for inclement weather conditions.
