Class / Camp Description
This one act version plot follows Troy, the captain of the varsity basketball team, and Gabriella, an intelligent transfer student. When Gabriella transfers to East High, they cause an upheaval by deciding to audition for the school's winter musical, upsetting the established social order of the school's cliques. Sharpay and Ryan bring humor and fun throughout the script. Memphis Youth Musical Theater workshops provide coaching in acting, vocals, and choreography, to prepare children and teens for the beginner as well as the veteran who seeks more experience. Workshops culminate in a public performance for family and friends. Everyone gets a part in the show and there are many opportunities in the show for leads, solos and group numbers. Auditions are held on the second day of the workshop. Please prepare the verse and chorus of "What I've Been Looking For" for the audition and start enjoying the show and songs before workshop time to help familiarize. Costumes are provided but you may need to bring items from home, such as shoes, tshirts, undershirts, school sports uniforms etc. Songs include these and more! We're All in This Together" "What I've Been Looking For" and the super fun basketball number "Get'cha Head in the Game" and more! Performances will be Monday Nov. 9th and Wednesday Nov. 11th. Performance ticket price is $10 per person.

Cancellation Policy
75% minus any credit card processing fee refund is given if a student withdraws within 24 hours prior to a second class during the Spring and Fall Semester. No refunds will be given after the second class except in the case of a physician-verified illness. No refunds are given for COVID closure. In the event of COVID closure we offer excellent online class or camp. No refunds for Summer camps / classes unless requested three weeks prior to the camp / class start date. At that time a 75% minus any credit card processing fee refund will be granted. There is no pro-rating and no makeup classes. Tuition is not transferable to another session. Students cannot attend class until full payment is made. There is a $35 fee for cancelled checks. CBT reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions or teacher illness. In the event of a weather condition, you will receive an email. Please check your email. There are no makeup classes for inclement weather conditions.
