Ballet and Jazz Dance, Workshop Camp

Class / Camp Description

In this ballet and contemporary workshop camp we will work on the fun and famed Tarentella Dance based in Balanchine’s fun choreography. It will feature a duet, solo and corps parts. In addition, each day of the workshop dancers will hone their technique with the elegant art of French and Russian classical ballet that emphasizes beautiful hands, arms and head movements, big jumps and multiple turns. Included daily are ballet classes, pointe work (or pre-pointe) jazz with master teacher and CBT Faculty member Steven Prince Tate, and coaching in classical choreography. Each workshop culminates in a final performance that will feature Tarentella, and dances such as the Doll, Russian Dance, Clara solo & Snow Pas, Snow Queen, and Dew Drop Fairy from the annual Clara & the Nutcracker at the Cannon Center. A performance will be held on the last day of the workshop, at 1:00pm in the studio. Cancelation Policy

75% refund is given if a student withdraws within 24 hours prior to a second class during the Spring and Fall Semester. No refunds will be given after the second class except in the case of a physician-verified illness. No refunds are given for COVID closure. In the event of COVID closure we offer excellent online class or camp. No refunds for Summer camps / classes unless requested three weeks prior to the camp / class start date. At that time a 75% refund will be granted. There is no pro-rating and no makeup classes. Tuition is not transferable to another session. Students cannot attend class until full payment is made. There is a $30 fee for cancelled checks. CBT reserves the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions or teacher illness. In the event of a weather condition, you will receive an email. Please check your email. There are no makeup classes for inclement weather conditions.
